Tying Up Some of the Loose Ends....

Well, Hi, again everyone! I guess after my VERY successful last post (5 comments!!!!) (ok, so one of them was mine, but that's still a lot for this blog), I guess I should come up with a smashing follow-up. I mean, really, I haven't had that many comments since Greg and Beth predicted the gender and first initial of my daughter!!!
So, I guess I'll post a couple of pictures of Karissa, who by the way turned 3 months old yesterday. She is generally a pretty happy baby, and lately has taken to cooing happily and is able to be sat in her bouncer seat or swing for awhile without complaining. She has also started playing a little with toys while Renee is holding her and the ones attached to her bouncer seat. She also seems to really enjoy pooping all of her cute outfits. (the plain, ordinary ones she leaves alone) She also is smiling regularly and LOVES any attention she gets, at least from us.
So, without further ado, here she is!
Sitting in her bouncer seat on the table.... And all dressed up for church last Sunday Morning.

In other news, I have finally finished Super Mario 64. I got very frustrated at the camera and Mario's being very unsteady on his feet at times, but overall, I really enjoyed it. I managed, with the help of the official Nintendo Power strategy guide, to collect all 105 of the power stars that Bowser stole to take control of Princess Peach's castle, along with the 15 secret stars, and finally (at least for now) banished Bowser from the Mushroom Kingdom. Depite the issues with the camera and Mario causing me to be sorely tempted to throw that unwieldy N64 controller across the room repeatedly, I felt a great sense of accomplishment when I was done. Hopefully the next Mario game I play will be as good.
I have now started on Rayman 2: The Great escape, which hopfully will be at least close to as much fun. So far, I'm liking it. :-) I guess time will tell.
Well, Renee is outside and Karissa is getting fussy, so I guess this post will have to end. Stay tuned! (all three of you)

A Few Random Thoughts and Loose Ends.....

Hi everyone! (both of you) I guess it's finally time for my monthly update. Sorry I'm so slow right now. A lot is happening around here. And, I was afraid this would happen when I originally started my blog. I figured that I would either spend all my time blogging or almost never update. I'm not quite sure which it is. Maybe you can clue me in?????

Anyway, I don't have any new pictures to upload at the moment (I do have some more recent ones than the last ones I posted, but they're out of date for a fast-growing baby), so I guess I'll just let everyone know (like they don't already) what's happening around here.

Got Lee & Mary all happily married off June 10. They're all back from the honeymoon, and seem to have survived pretty well, although the car they drove fared slightly worse.

Karissa I still growing, and is about 14 lb. now. She had her second doctor's appointment and first shots today, and is a little worse for wear over it. Pray for our sanity.

My poor motorcycle is parked far too much for my taste in this beautiful weather, but hopefully that will change soon.

I'm STILL playing Super Mario 64. I'm enjoying it for the most part. However, as it was pretty much the first true 3-D platformer, it suffers from a few issues, mainly with the game camera. Hopefully I will have time to finish it soon so I can move on to something else. Maybe I'll take a poll to see what I should play next....

The youth guys went canoeing Saturday, and I got nicely sunburned, so I look even less appealing without a shirt on. :-) (imagine that!) We had a great time, though, and Kendal & I, who happened to be canoe mates (poor Kendal) even managed to flip another canoe. :-)

I've actually picked up my guitars a little in the last week or so. I haven't had time to really play any since Karissa was born, and I still haven't played anything plugged in since then.

Well, I think that's pretty much all I can think of right off that's been happening. Stay tuned for more! (hopefully much sooner this time)
